Carbon equivalent CEL is a metallurgical core of iron production. CEL is more accurate in an order of magnitude and a result is instant. The analysis is made directly at melting shop by operators of furnaces. Other elements (Si, Mn and others) content is necessary to be determined by a spectrometer.
